Franklin County Home Care Services is accepting applications for one (1) part-time or full-time Home Care Aide to provide personal cares and homemaker assistance to meet the needs of our clients living in Franklin County.  Employee will work one-on-one with clients in their homes to support their basic needs and in support of our mission to be a trusted partner in serving our community and enhancing our residents' quality of life.

POSITION AVAILABLE:

• Part-time—Monday through Friday, varied hours.
• Full-time—Monday through Friday, varied.
• Availability to work holidays and/or weekends as scheduled.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

You will provide compassionate and high quality personal care and household services for our clients.  The services offered include personal hygiene, meal preparation, light housecleaning, laundry assistance and transportation services.  Home Care Service is provided to support rehabilitation or convalescence, facilitate hospital or nursing home discharge and to provide companionship for the disabled, elderly, and homebound individuals to allow them to remain safe and independent at home.

QUALIFICATIONS:
To be successful as a Home Care Aide for Franklin County, you must be effective at both verbal and written communication, demonstrate positive conflict resolution, and effective decision-making and problem-solving skills. You must be able to work independently in all household conditions. This position requires the frequent need for bending and standing throughout each day.   Acceptance of position is contingent on passing of post-offer physical, drug screen, and criminal background check.

EXPERIENCE:  High school diploma or G.E.D required. Completion of a Certified Nursing Assistance course. We will train the right candidate. Valid Iowa driver’s license, reliable transportation, and be insurable are required.
