As Clerk to the Board of Supervisors, there are various responsibilities:

  • to accept petitions
  • register complaints or act on routine business in the absence of the Board
  • prepare board meeting agendas, minutes, and publish according to the law
  • initiate bid notices
  • solicit proposals for county contracts for materials and services
  • receive contract proposals
  • record official papers
  • and many miscellaneous duties

Official Board meetings are held in the Boardroom in the Courthouse basement every Monday morning at 8:30am unless otherwise noted. The meetings are open to the public.

To be placed on the Board's weekly agenda, complete the following form and submit it by 1:00pm on the previous Thursday.

Request to Be On the Franklin County Board of Supersivors Agenda

Requests must be made by 4:00PM on the Thursday preceeding the requested meeting date.

The Franklin County Board of Supervisors meet every Monday at 8:30AM unless that date coincides with a holiday. In the case of a holiday, the Board will meet on Tuesdays.

All requests to be on the Franklin County Board of Supervisors Meeting Agenda are subject to review by the Franklin County Auditor and/or Board CHairman and can be approved or denied at his//her discretion. You will be notified by the Auditor as to whether you are being placed on the agenda. If your request is denied, you are always invited to address the Board during the Public Comment time.
