You may obtain a certified copy of an Iowa Vital Record from the Franklin County Recorder's office if
the record you are requesting is a:
  • Birth from 1986 to present that occurred anywhere in Iowa, or
  • Death or Marriage from 1954 to present that occurred anywhere in Iowa, or
  • Birth between 1942 and 1986 that occurred in Franklin County, Iowa, that has had no legal action to the record  or was not a single parent birth, or
  • Death or Marriage between 1942 and 1954 that occurred in Franklin County, Iowa.
